The weight center is about 5 12 inches from the head or dead even with the top screw securing the scales

This puts it out of balance to be a weapon but perfect for a chopping tool combine this with the sheer weight of it overall it is most definitely not going to work effectively as a weapon

You dont ever need a utilitarian hatchettype tool to be that sharp and if you want it to be youre going to sharpen it yourself anyways

The metal kershaw uses here is 3cr13 which is basically just 420j2 not quite as good as the 14c28n they had sandvik make them for other items and i think it might be an improvement to switch to that but it would inevitably drive cost up
