Pros & Cons
Pros
The perfect edc blade. The blade deploys quickly and smoothly. The steel is good enough for cutting boxes, nylon string, and thinner ropes used in my trade.
The grip is steady. The flatness of the handle keeps it from wanting to turn in my hand. The texture on the scales from the angle and aggressive thumb stud makes this knife great for gloved hands.
If you have the extra cash to spare, this one is quite good. Kershaw is darn good at making knives. I have no regrets about the purchase!
This is the second one i've purchased after stupidly using the first one as a screwdriver. The knife opens instantly. But this is pretty easily resolved by just bending it open a bit with pliers.
This pocket knife is quite good. Reversible belt clip and can be mounted on opposite side for lefties. The knife is super sharp and clips nicely to my pocket for everyday wear.

The blade was shaving sharp upon opening.
Price
Don’t hesitate to buy at this price, well worth the money.
For the price of this knife it is a great value.

Packaging/appearance
Looked new all over (some had said that they thought it looked used).
I cut plastic wrap, plastic strapping, and heavy duty cardboard boxes, rated at 265 poundsout of the box impression was high.
Competitiveness
I bought this blade as the s30v blade first, but i feel this steel is easier to sharpen than the more expensive blade.
All that said, for edc, i'll probably go back to the link -- i'd encourage folks interested in the blur (which seems to be the ... Read More
The thumb pin release is not as good as the top thumb release.
