When i tried the assisted opening the first time my blade only opened to a 90degree angle with my handle

Upon closer examination i discovered that there was a more than sufficient amount of oil lubricant on the spindle that it was actually causing the blade to ooze though the inner lining of the handle bogging down the flipping action

I am not a fan of tanto blades so i am most likely going to grind off the ugly angle on the edge

The shield like many other knives they make has already been discontinued by kershaw and except for amazon is listed as unavailable on every other retail site that ive found that still lists it on their website at the original msrp of around 30

This one will do for now but remember to just get what you want instead of knickel and diming your way to being dissatisfied enough to just buy what you want in the end anyhow
