Pros

The blade comes hair-popping sharp out of the box. Perhaps not razor sharp, but with a good working edge. Opens a little tough at first but just work the knife a little bit and it gets easier.

God forbid i ever have to use this knife for self-defense. It has a grip very similar to my cqc 4kxl, but i can get a more secure grip with the enhanced thumb ramp and index finger groove. Chunky feel, in a good way.

Once you get the knack of it, this blade deploys faster than any switchblade. The only problem is a slight, miniscule up and down blade play that i can't correct.

The pocket clip on the knife is placed on the right hand side for tip-up carry in the right hip pocket out of the box. The clip is reversible for right or left hand deploy. It's a little hook on the back of the blade that is designed to catch the edge... Read More

Cons

The steel is marginal and dulls quickly, however, it sharpens quickly too. Handle is chunky and feels like it only work in hammer grip. What this does is cause major slop and blade play.

I'm a bit suprised by the quality of this knife.

It’s not true emerson quality but it’s not $250 either.

Very stiff and will take a lot of working in to get it to open properly with the wave feature.

Will purchase again if price drops back to 22.

I kept putting it off, until i caught it when the all-black (grips and blade) model was on sale with prime shipping.

Competitiveness

I wish the blade was as thick as my other kershaw-made emerson cqc-6k, which has a 1/8-inch thick blade.

Barely put a jump on the edge.
