This is a great knife especially given its cost.

I would like to see it in vg10 or better, but for the price 8cr13mov is fine.

Competitiveness

Kershaw did a great job with this knife using comparable steel (8cr13mov) to the aus-8 used on the eagle at a fraction of the cost.

I've had many a pocket knive in the past 7 years.

I'd be willing to pay double for an upgrade to vg-10 or equivalent.
