Pros & Cons
Pros
Take great care testing sharpness. Not super sharp out of the box but can be sharpened to razor sharp. I normally tend to prefer thicker blades but this little spear point is great for accuracy.
I much prefer a wave feature on my defensive folders though, which seems to be the best and most foolproof method of deploying a folding knife in a stressful situation.
Good fit and finish, lockup and open. With a bit of tinkering (tightening/loosening of the hinge) this knife is absolutely perfect. Very classy looking open, fits and carries well.
It is a little tight to initially get it open but that is good as there’s no risk of it flopping open. The hinge (once adjusted, if needed) stays at the level of resistance suitable for a snappy draw. It opens smooth, closes easily with one hand and c... Read More
The look alone is what really caught my eye, with its sleek and * dagger-styled single edged blade. Very tastefully done blue anodized accents on the guard and back spacers that are just the right amount of "bling" without being too gaudy or flashy. L... Read More
Cons
Speedsafe mechanism actually makes it harder to open using the flipper and harder to close as you have to push the blade closed against spring tension. Length when closed fits strangely in the pocket and is difficult to get out. Clip bent out of shape... Read More
Highlights
Quality
It feels sturdy, well built, and has the feel of quality.
Solid construction, strong black clip, and fast assisted open.
This knife is much too stiff during deployment to be able to efficiently “wave” it out by using the guard on the pocket unfortu... Read More
Flips open easy and locks in place every time.
Price
This is my favorite cost-effective knife right now.
For the price, this is an excellent edc knife for all purposes.
Again anyone who is willing to spend half this price on a knife should buy one like this and they surely wont be disappointed.
This is a decent knife for the price.
Shipping
Anyway, the price was right, i received it quickly.
Packaging/appearance
I've used it to open boxes and packages and have been happy with it.
Got sent the 1365 in the barstow packaging.
But if you want a knife that will strike fear in an amazon box or make terriyaki beef jerky packages give up their mysteries of dried meat.
Competitiveness
I purchased three different kershaws to attempt to replace the one i used to buy at walmart, that they chose to no longer carry.
” it’s a little hefty compared to other knives i have of a similar size.
You get what you pay for, but some values are better than others as well.
