Pros & Cons
Pros
Not too light, not too heavy. Weight is nice too, somewhat heavy which adds to its sturdiness. Great lockup.
The kershaw-emerson 8cr14mov is great quality for the money. Good ergonomic grip and a blade that screamed edc. Used as my edc. I have several kershaw knives, all of which are spring assisted.
The pocket clip keeps it securely in my pocket day after day and it's never popped out by accident. Disk works fine for thumb flipping.
I get this knife screaming sharp on my wicked edge. It shaves hair and slices paper better than a spyderco comes from the factory (after i touch it up on the wicked edge) i don't mind though, it cuts well, glides through cardboard. Not that it’s so im... Read More
The emerson wave feature works flawlessly. The wave feature is the epitome of speed and convenience. I love the wave open feature, but it kinda feels like i'm gonna rip my pants one day. I own an emerson that is almost this exact design.
Cons
One half of a centimeter into the wood. By simply sticking it into cedar to take a picture of it. The action is terrible, meaning even with a good oiling, the blade is stiff and cannot be easily opened.
Highlights
Quality
Great knife, sharp, well built and can’t beat the price for the quality brand.
Came razor sharp out of the box, quality is solid!
You can clearly feel the quality, the tight, if not perfect, lock up, the functionality of chris reeve's frame lock with emerson's wave.
It's been really hand at work with the emerson hook.
Price
I've never seen such quality for such a low price (seriously, this has taken the place of my spyderco paramilitary 2 as my main... Read More
Tough to beat the price i got for in early september.
If you’re looking for a well balanced knife at an affordable price, then look no further.
Competitiveness
Well worth the price and it's a solid, good-looking knife.
It shaves hair and slices paper better than a spyderco comes from the factory (after i touch it up on the wicked edge).
