Pros & Cons
Pros
At under $30 this knife is a steal. Fit and finish are way above expectations for the price tag. This knife is legit!
The blade is sharp and the blade designs is great. It's easy to sharpen. With frequent use it loses its edge but it's easily re-sharpened to a razor edge. Want something more practical and attractive than a box cutter?
The blade opens smoothly, locks into place firmly and is relatively easy to release. The wave feature is awesome, and i don't think i'll ever buy another pocket knife without some kind of snag-open feature. Only thing is you can flick the blade out yo... Read More
It's a bit larger and heavier than some would like but it still carries quite comfortably and forgotten. It's big which i love because i have some big paws and like my knives on the bigger side. However, this is not bulky at all.
This kershaw is solidly built. With how cheaply put together the knife looks, it definitely has that sturdy kershaw quality.
Highlights
Quality
Great knife, sharp, well built and can’t beat the price for the quality brand.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this knife from the blade to the material used on the handle.
Bought a spydedco to compare the two and am just as pleased if not more impressed with the kershaw.
Found this while skimming through some suggested items, and was immediately taken with the design.
Price
Best pocket knife, and at a very nice price!
And you cannot beat the price my sheepdog went for $300 dollars.
Packaging/appearance
This knife is shaving sharp right out of the box.
My only bitch, in the photo of the knife folded and the blade closed, you'll notice that the blade rubs against the liner, you ... Read More
Unfortunately, the screws are very short (like 1/8”) because the blade is right behind the clip.
Competitiveness
Some more commercial; various from kershaw, crkt, bokerm gerber, benchmade etc.
I wear a men's xxl or xxxl glove, for reference.

I own another kershaw emersonthe cqc4kxlthat i like after overcoming some issues the frame lock was overly tight it engaged 100 when it should be about 50 and the centering was so bad that the blade rubbed on the g10side liner

I voided the warranty by dismantling the knife bending out the lock slightly and replacing the flimsy ptfe washers with better ones from traxas rc theres a youtube video on this fix
