Pros & Cons
Pros
Scales have nice grip traction and do not migrate out of pocket. Feels nice in the hand while working. I'm hard on stuff and they typically roll on the job.
Check out kershaw knife sharpener the “ken onion’ edition. This steel has a nice balance of hardness and ease of sharpening. Useful for simple tasks like cutting rope or plastic sheeting.
It opens swiftly, smoothly and quietly. Solidly built, assisted opening blade.
Cons
It came with a factory edge that was just dull.
Highlights
Quality
I'm not gonna lie i feel kershaw is lying about the quality of steel; no blade steel should be this easy to sharpen and maintain.
I have smaller hands and this knife is slightly larger but i definitely like it a lot especially with the price.
The problems i have with this knife is purely with the design, and possibly for legal reasons and not the fault of kershaw.
It's a shame because the blade itself is of excellent quality.
Price
I think this knife is amazing and at a great price!
Competitiveness
Yeah, i have a few benchmade knives and a couple other pocket knives i can’t justify the price i paid.
The 8cr13mov steel sharpens great and holds the edge for a surprisingly long time considering i use it everyday.
Just bought a few more just in case they’re discontinued.

The final bonus no silly and useless thumb studs but indentations on the blade that help open it if you choose not to use the speedsafe assisted opening flipper
