Pros & Cons
Pros
Great for hacking brush or preparing kindling. Best part is that you can ship it to their facility in order to get it sharpened for free. The sharpening is no problem if you know how to sharpen by hand.
Only gripe is the handle has a very aggressive checker pattern.
This seems to suit all of my needs as a novice outdoorsman. It can perform as a chopper and splitter for camp tasks. My dad and i are outdoor enthusiasts and knife throwers which this is good for basic survival skills as well as knife throwing.
The sheath alone is worth buying this piece. The scabbard also has velcro loops for very diverse ways of strapping and carrying the blade. The knife & sheath is lightweight as well as limber when worn on the hip.
Cons
The two velcro straps are roughly 3 inches too long. Blade chipped on first use chopping wood.
Stick with condor. It also isn't a good chopper compared to a hatchet. The handle is very pokey?
Highlights
Quality
This is a well built and sturdy product.
Blade is heavy, thick, and well made.
The knife is held loosely and actually rattles around, even with the built-in strap retention.
After 30 minutes of straight chopping, the thing was still sharp.
Price
Best bang for your buck in terms of camp choppers.
I am totally happy with what i got for under $60 including shipping.
I bought a 10$ sharpener and gave it a once over.
I know that is not always the case, but that is a risk that i'm willing to take, specially at this great price.
Packaging/appearance
Nice packaging and very sharp right out of the box so be careful.

Fixed it with a bit of plastic from any type of blister packaging.
It had come in a beautiful (in my opinion) red box.
Competitiveness
I made the purchase based on the experience of other kershaw cutlery that i have owned and used over the years.
I took a size comparison shot next to my cold steel spartan folder.
E and steel blade is thicker and does not bend as easily as many of the other machetes do at this price point.
