Pros

The towel rod is light weight, but sturdy when installed. You can attach it with super glue if you want to. Well made and sturdy.

Cons

Double-sided tape is nowhere thick or strong enough to cover the recess on the back of the bar. The glue that was included has less sticking power than scotch tape. Glue is still stuck to tile.

The bar is supposed to attach to the plates after the plates are drilled into the wall. Can't use studs' center to center to ensure a solid support.
