My plumber initially didn’t and there was quite a lot of leaking near the top of the nut and he had to come back to redo it

As the other reviewers have pointed out unless you sink opening is perfectly even and has a downward lip the plastic washer thats pressed up by the nut underneath the sink will not seal the drain properly instead of the usual sloping plug washer what comes with the drain is a thin silicone flat washer with a lip all around

But the pipe connect from the sink to the j shape pipe is too short

When taking out the old drain thought at first the hole was only 112 inches and this wouldnt fit
