The unit is not tall enough the circular magnet which fits on the door is too high for the metal part that screws to the floor

Firstly if there is any appreciable clearance between door and floor the floor magnet will have to be sited on a small wedge of wood screwed to the floor in order to lift the magnet up far enough to connect with the magnet screwed to the bottom of the door

Secondly to preserve the magnets strengths the door should not be slammed open to connect the magnets

Magnets do not like being bashed about it can destroy their magnetism
