Pros
Easy to use, instructions pretty good. Does what i want it to do. Worked perfectly. An amazing product.
Very good portable weather meter and well worth the purchase price. Hardest part was finding the right one, for the right price, with the information you want when you are outdoors.

A good product and i would have given it five stars but mine does not accurately read the altitude or give accurate barometric pressure.
Price
This is a good, minimal cost piece of equipment to gauge weather and altitude, etc.
At half the cost of their 4500 series you can't beat it.
Then i saw and read about this kestrel 2500nv pocket weather meter and though it was a wee bit more than the $50 ceiling i had.
Shipping
First, a confession: i returned two of these to amazon because they sent me the wrong one - the 2500 instead of the 2500nv.
Packaging/appearance
The box said a 2500nv was inside, but neither of them had working backlights.

I can compare it to many aviation instruments and it is always right on.

In the past when on the range i had to guess wind speed altitude temp and barometer from different apps if i was lucky enough to get a wifi signal

The 2500 is the smaller of the two and i carry both in my drag bag

Checking against my gps for altitude it constantly needs to be adjusted to be correct

The kestral 2500 was a very nice instument however when i ordered it i ordered the wrong one

I returned the 2500nv for the kestral 3000 that has heat index and relative humidity
