I pulled the keycap and switch off and low and behold, one of the hotswap pins was bent beyond repair.

Future proof without having to spend $$$ on a custom build
So let it be said, i did buy this used for a $20 discount.
I'd rather use a $20 membrane board than that god awful contraption.
For the price of the keyboard you get a lot of features.
