Pros & Cons
Pros
The k6 is a very well-made, highly functional compact keyboard. The keyboard is now virtually silent.
The gateron red switches have an amazing feel, and a light click that gives a nice audible feedback without being annoying. They're a little louder than cherry mx browns, but pretty nearly the same. Great keyboard, love the hot swappable function and ... Read More
Bluetooth works smoothly (connects to my mac in maybe 1 second flat after being idle). For every three days i use it wirelessly, it only takes three hours with the usb to fully charge again. The bluetooth is good enough for gaming if you have a strong... Read More
Typing experience exceeds expectation. Overall exceptional product. Love the compact size of it too. Back to the page you came from.
The backlighting is fun, and helps immensely when i’m working with dim lighting. The rgb version is well worth the few extra bucks. Good stabilizers too, rgb is very pretty too, wide selection.
Cons
Keycaps are too thin and bleed light thru the whole upper surface. Bluetooth connectivity is a major defect. The keyboard is also way too high. Also overpriced for tactile feedback.
Keychron advertises a litany of features like mac/windows layouts. The wireless bluetooth connectivity is garbage. It often drops and you have to wait a few seconds for it to reconnect.
Highlights
Quality
Bluetooth works great, build quality is nothing to complain about.
The build quality seems very good, and it was packaged well.
Like others have said, the keycaps are trash on this thing.
I tested k8 but it was kinda disappointed.
Price
This is a really great 65% keyboard with bluetooth and an excellent price.
Buy the k6 that's the lowest price.
Competitiveness
The red gateron switches feel really nice and with a foam mod and some lube, sounds and feels amazing.
Love that it comes with keycaps for both a mac-os layout and a windows layout.
I used for a few months but decided to switch to a tkl (k8) instead.
I have a set of gateron yellows as well on a different drop keyboard.
