Pros & Cons
Pros
All-plastic k8 with white backlight has the following pros and totally ergonomic layout with traditional spacing among function key clusters, above the arrow cluster, and around the nav six-pack. Back lighting is a bit dim but not bad.
Bluetooth connectivity is really nice, easy to set up, and easy to switch between three devices. It pairs very quickly.
The blue switches are great for typing, and i really like the clicky sounds they make. The gateron brown switches they used are a bit less tactile compared to cherry mx brown switches. I like this one a little better, as the switches are somewhat bett... Read More
Keyboard has os-specific keys and a couple of splash color keycaps. I wish keychron offered orange versions of all their keys, but i want options beyond esc and the light key being orange.
The keyboard feels good to type. The sturdiness is undeniable. Hardware and overall the hardware and keys are really nice.
Highlights
Quality
Function keys are excellent, and the backlighting is solid.
This keyboard is smooth and fast, substantial and well-made.

It felt very cheap and soft, like very low quality plastic.
Price
This keyboard was really nice, and a really good option as a fairly inexpensive mechanical keyboard.
It's not worth more than $30 in my opinion.
I have since returned the keyboard and ordered the hotswap model with the red linear switches (for ~$30usd more), so my willing... Read More
However, considering the price, there is a cost-effectiveness.
Shipping
The product arrived on time and i’m really liking the feel of it.
Competitiveness
Anything from razor, steelseries, and logitech completely fail compared to the keychron k8 at similar price points.
It also sits a lot higher than the very flat apple keyboard and it's even a bit taller than my logitech.
In summary, i can't compare very well to lesser known niche brands.
They may not be using the cherry mx switches that more expensive keyboards use, but they are comparable.
