Pros

This board sounds incredibly creamy and smooth for its price. It looks good sounds good and performs amazingly. Personally, i wish that it comes with a tad bit more foam.

Cons

One of the slots for a key switch is dead on arrival. No per key lighting. Very limited lighting options, all you can do is choose the modes from the set ones and change the overall lighting color. Missing some basic functions.

To call this a qmk/via capable board is an insult. Only 2 configurable layers for mac/windows through via/qmk. No daughterboard for usb-c + theusb-c port is loose.

Got this barebones board for my first keyboard build, works great and the rgb looks amazing!

The build quality is solid, and the sound stock is very pleasing to my ear.

Easily disassembles, and the kit includes a hex wrench if you don't have one handy.

Building an entire keyboard seemed like a scary and time consuming task, so i opted for this barebones keychron v1.

Overall a very decent board for the money.

Packaging/appearance

This board is packed with features i would expect to pay double for, while still being based on their excellent q1 design.

Competitiveness

Have a few more expensive aluminum hotswap keyboards, this competes with some of them.

Got a few different barebones boards around the same price, this one blew them away.

99 that is a much better deal than the v1.

For the same price as some of my less quality boards.
