Competitiveness
And not 130 dollars like logitech or corsair keyboards with lesser quality.
I moved to tkl from 108 key since around 2010 and have tried to move around with other layouts ever since but always make it back to tkl.

Its a little unintuitive to turn off the backlight you have to press fn the lightbulb button to make it turn all the way off but it has a nice range of backlights to use if you want to leave them on too

Some other keychron keyboards come with swappable caps for the enter and escape keys if gray is preferred over orange however this one does not

Unfortunately the lights are super distracting and hurt sensitive eyes
