You have to do it on the correct layer for your operating system

Macos is in layers 0 and 1 while windowslinux are layers 2 and 3

I may buy some different keycaps that will allow the leds to shine through the letters as the current ones dont have that feature

While i personally wouldnt consider this a budget keyboard it kinda is considering most other custom options are over 200
