The remote works great, has good range and i like the led that confirms you pressed the button. The only disappointment is that we need to put code in again to shut door. Almost too easy to setup and install.

I dont know what happens if not connected because it was connected in my case

Product worked with my liftmaster gate but there is no hole on the bottom part to mount to the walli had to drill a hole through plastic to mount itso it works but installation could be easier
