This one is perfect because it can be ran on batteries or plugging in. Worked when plugged in.
Cons
The alarm chirps very loudly when plugged in. It then does this same chirp every two minutes, one time.

This detector is too complicated. The red/green light concept is very confusing to me, and i am computer savvy. Remove batteries and plug co detector back into the wall without batteries.

Press the test button to make sure it's all working and hear the alert you hope to never hear from real carbon monoxide.
The instructions say don't install it in a bathroom or near a heat vent or heat-producing appliance.
Price
I feel like the cost of this device is a small price to pay for peace of mind for my family’s safety and wellbeing.
With a natural gas forced air furnace and a gas water heater i decided this was worth the low cost for carbon monoxide protection.
Competitiveness
Another reason i chose this over one of the other brands is that it lasts 10 years before expiration.

It does not block the second outlet if you plug it into the lower outlet and the plug can be rotated so it can be used in horizontal or vertical outlets

It comes with 2 aa batteries for backup in case the power goes off protected by a plastic strip so they dont run down before its sold

Just slide the battery cover off and remove the thin plastic strip slide the cover back on plug it in and press the testreset button

Like most people i have separate smoke detectors but they dont check for carbon monoxide which is odorless and colorless
