When we got this there was a couple broken boards but it was close to christmas so my husband just fixed it

The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars was because there was a small piece that was broken yet easily fixed and the plastic barrier was ripped but was a non issue because i had planned on stapling it to the sides and not using their attachments

It is most definitely not mesh but instead is a fairly thick plastic

My solution was to staple the plastic to the wood around the entire perimeter
