It's also nice that the kids can't slam the top down. The hinges work great and i love the safety feature of them.
This is a very easy to put together, sturdy, and safe toy box. Its easy to assemble too.
Cons
The hinges have fallen off, customer service is poor. The screws are not appropriate for the lid and loosen after a short period of time. It's cheaply-made engineered wood.

I didn't, so i am stuck with the broken handle.
Material quality is good, you get what you pay for and i purchased on prime day for nearly half off ($50).

Packaging/appearance
All the parts came with the packaging and my boyfriend had no issues setting this up for us.
It also came with some light scuffs but i think from packaging.
Anyway i think you should check the pieces better before packaging.
