The only drawback is that the cars do not have an automatic off or a slip clutch where if it goes off track and hits the wall or sofa it just keeps on running until you shut it off manually

Purchase lots of batteries though cause the fun is never ending or get the rechargeable ones thats what we did

We actually use this set with two older sets that we have from a consignment sale and the three sets of tracks combined make a track is quite large

Even the slightest bump or drop makes the battery and the battery cover fall off the bottom
