Battery is rechargeable and camera will turn off automatically if it detects no operation for more than 3 minutes to save battery life which is a good feature

Before purchasing this product is tried the bigger brand vtech one and been disappointed with the picture quality and its bulkiness

This product still has pretty poor picture quality despite the 12mp particularly in the hands of a child as you need a very steady hand to avoid blurring
