It’s really easy to set up the parental controls for each of my kids. We set up a child account with a profile age that matched her mental abilities.

Adults- purchased the kids package for yourself. It costs less, includes the ad free home page, includes a case, and has an extra year warranty. Better than the bulging marshmallow kids case the fire tablet comes with.

Cons

The touch screen is super glitchy. The texture is a bit grainy under the fingertips. The bundled cover has a pronounced chemical odor.

Gb of storage isn’t impressive. I'm amazed and disgusted by how they're doing their best to deceive their customers to earn a few dollars more. The kindles are sluggish cheaply made and over charged hardware!

The parental controls are not helpful. The parent dashboard says you can disable audible. The whole point of this kindle is to have a device for kids to read on without distractions, yet it is full of distractions.

The add content guide takes you to a useless dashboard that only shows your content from your kindle to select to share. The only way to remove content is to go into the parent dashboard, browse through all the offerings, and remove them one by one. I... Read More
