Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

I can't complain about anything because just like any other kindle, it does its job. The pen adds tremendous value. My only complaint is that i wished it had more functionality.

The battery life is fantastic and i appreciate how you can adjust things to your liking.

The stylus works very well, but is a bit too long and too heavy. Writing feel is the best for the devices i have tried so far - ipad pros, samsung tabs, remarkable. Also really good for my daily journaling.

The scribe is perfect for a reader who is a writer and annotates and doodles. It's huge and easy to read, especially when you are getting a little older and wiser. The writing itself is smooth.

This is an underrated feature that is great for educators. R2 has one that is transformative, created by a developer. This alleviates the problem of making the notebook one giant document -- but rather smaller labeled one in folders.

Quality

I am so happy with the scribe, and it does exactly what i need it to do.

Smart to sell it with the pen.

With the r2, i thought a separate pen was shameful, felt they were nickel and diming us, plus they charge for storage of files smh.

Overall, even though i bought the r2 just 5 months ago, i was upset with myself because i was not aware of the kindlescribe.

Price

Cons: the price is very high and it is heavy and huge.

I think it is definitely better at a more affordable price.

Shipping

So it could received many hits during the shipping process and box was bent on corners and edges.

Competitiveness

I think layers would also make it a stronger competitor.

I do wish it could “project” to my laptop like the competitor r2, this is an underrated feature that is great for educators.

And when compared to its primary competitor.

It's more like a tablet in weight unlike the other kindle models.
