Kinetic sand is moist, sculpt-able sand that flows through your fingers almost like water but can still be molded into shapes. Seemed a little pricey but worth it.

Kinetic sand stays together and does not dry out. Because it stays clumped together, it allows for easy cleanup and storage. Don't try to vaccum it up off of carpet though. It should come with airtight storage for the sand.
