Pros & Cons
Pros
It is very easy to read and flows nicely. And the book tells the story why the king chose to go for the absolutism. A cracking read.
An excellent precis of the life of one of the greatest european monarchs. Intrigued to learn more about the battles within 16th century france. Louis xiv was an amazing man and monarch but he was also very determined.
Cons
Only 48 pages. There was no substance to this book what-so-ever. None, zip, zero. Better biographies of louis xiv are available which go into a lot more depth.
Highlights
Competitiveness
A quick history of louis the 14th.
