    When i first plugged it in it wasnt detected by my computer as in it didnt show up in my pc

    This does not mean the drive is bad it just means it hasnt been initialized and assigned a drive letter

    I booted to bios and saw it showing up there so then i went back to windows and you need to right click on my pc
