While it could be my usb port, with the all the reviews of poor speed im leaning more towards a janky a to c dongle.

I never buy drives this small anymore other than for deliverables, and budgetary reasons.

It was fairly inexpensive (roughly $109 w/tax).

I tried other brand and they were slightly cheaper but had all kinds errors with them.
