The silicone ribs on the fingers work well to grip cookware without slipping or being in the way. The silicone is perfect for holding onto your items. Finally got rid of all my old oven mitts/pot holder for this set.

Before buying these oven mitts i was using a pair of silicone oven mitts that seemed heavy and caught dirt easily in the ridges of the mitt

It is made with plenty of room for a large hand and it is put together straight some oven mitts are crooked or the thumb is too small or the width is too tight
