Pros & Cons
Pros
Mini kitchenaid mixers are small, but work well. Smaller size expands the reach of the kitchenaid brand. Lighter and lighter without the heft and bulk of a full-sized kitchenaid.
It's just the right size for a single batch of cookie dough, casserole for a 9x9 pan, or 1-2 loaf bread recipe. The mixer mixes up cake batter in a big hurry. This allows me to stir mix kneed 10 cups of ingredients.
Cons
The motor smokes with every use and can barely mix dough without almost bursting into flames. When you cream butter and sugar, it leaves large chunks of unmixed butter in the batter.
This blender is very slow. The fastest mixing speed is slower than the fastest speed on the bigger model.
Consumer product safety commission states that products used by children must not contain more than 100 ppm of total lead content. None of the attachments, the mixing bowl, or the mixer itself was protected by the standard factory plastic bags.
Customer service is a nightmare. It’s almost comical how bad it is. They do not!
Highlights
Quality
:)i almost gave up on kitchenaid after my poor experience with the bowl-lift mixer, but i'm glad i gave this one a try.
I've always wanted a stand mixer with the whisk, paddle, and bread hook.
)in addition to the quality issues above, my biggest pet peeve is the design of the flex head beater in regards to being able t... Read More
My biggest quality complaints:* the silver strip with the brand name going around the tilt-head portion isn't actually attached.
Packaging/appearance
Arrived before christmas with out over packaging, so wife got her gift early.
It was sent in its own packaging instead of in a brown amazon box to conceal the contents.
Competitiveness
As a beginner baker, a high-end stand mixer that towers over my counter, intimidating me every time i walk by, is not helpful.
Plus didnt like the fact that the beaters weren’t stainless steel.
These are premium features available on high-end models.
I think i have a color called spicey salsa or something close.
