Its not great for standing up plates and other discshaped items so i wouldnt recommend if you handwash lots of plates

I replaced a very cheap plastic drying rack that i never liked very much with this and i miss how much more i was able to pile up on that old plastic rack because of how it was laid out

On the other hand this one drains much better than that one did and should be easier to keep clean
