Pros & Cons
Pros
It's easy to use, cleans up in the dishwasher, and does a nice even job of chopping. Totally ergonomic and logical.
As a barista, i have to say this is the best cold foam i have ever seen! It works great. It looks sturdy, and it does a great job.
Cons
Not good for chopping or dicing only purée. Must cut it at least in 6-7 pieces. Might as well just finishing chopping with a knife. You have to precut items. Terrible design for a latch.
Other than the motor, the kitchenaid is lightweight plastic. The other one has a heavy glass bowl and feels much more durable. This one is light and cheaply made.
Highlights
Quality
I love this device, just be careful with the sharp blade.
Great price and great product-perfect for medium amounts-i have a big one but sometimes it’s too much-this was perfect
I don't understand why some reviewers talk about struggling with the cover.
I have yet to find a kitchenaid product i'm not completely satisfied with.
Price
Well made, easy to use, great results, good price.
I don't expect it will last 40 years like the last one, but for the price, that's ok.
Competitiveness
So much easier to clean than a bigger processor, so easy to use, sits on my counter.

My theory is that the bowl may not have been rotated 100 fully into position causing a bit of friction on the mechanism that connects the push button down through the side of the bowl to the actual motor
