It was useful to monitor the temperatures without opening the oven door but i didnt rely on the alarmsmy wife has preferred the standard meat thermometer where one simply removes and tests the meat temp

Weve been stuck in the dark ages using one of those old timey stick it in and watch the gauge move after you pull the dish out of the oven of whatever it is youre checking
