    It heats evenly and heat transfer to the handle takes a while but you will definitely need a silicone sleeve or a pot holder for the handle

    But its competition is lodge cast iron and though lodges looks are antedeluvian the lodge price is 13 to 12 the price of this kitchenaid thus i see no reason other than aesthetics to purchase this over the lodge 12inch skillet
