Pros

The handles extend to a total of 22 inches, and measures 15 inches when contracted. Makes draining things like couscous a lot easier than my previous drainer.

The wire mesh is fine enough to rinse grains like rice. It's really the only colander i use now.

It's sturdy and well-made, with expandable handles that don't scratch the countertop. The fact that i can adjust the arms for different sink widths is teriffic.

Cons

It is just too short for my new sink. The problem is that it is built very poorly. Not worth is.

Quality

My local grocery store caries this product.

This strainer sits on the sink with the bowl under it.

Solves the design flaw in the product from williams sonoma that i used for years.

Packaging/appearance

There are also feet on the bottom, so if you need to sit the colander on the counter, your food can’t get contaminated.

I am then free to walk away while the food dries right where it is with water dripping into the sink.

I don't want pasta crud sticking to the strainer screen.

Competitiveness

Makes draining things like couscous a lot easier than my previous drainer.
