Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

To have one perfectly fine set and two brand new back-ups, may be overkill and a little ridiculous. The associated grinder attachment makes great home made burger.

This product is easy to set up. Blanching and pulling seeds and skins off tomatoes takes a long time. Get out the seeds and skin effortlessly.

Spoon the apples out with a slotted spoon so as not to bring much liquid along. The applesauce comes out in it's spot. Boil them, * the stems, and feed them non-stop into this contraption.

Cons

The extender tray isn't a sealed fit, leaks, and adds to the messiness factor. Ours is a wooden pusher like in the photo. It has a dull plastic rotary mechanism that propels the food toward the metal plate on the end.

Incredibly poor at straining juice from carrots but was fine for soft fruits. They say in the manual not to use it on concord grapes.

The only pro to this is that it was returnable.
