I dont like the heat of the electronic dish washer on my appliances that have rubberplastic components like this grater

If you want to use it in the dish washer then drill a couple of little holes on the sides of the handle and should take care of the problem as recommended by another user2 cheese falling on the surface when using the container this is inevitable and is going to happen with any grater that is vertically oriented

If using with the container at the bottom make sure you dont press too hard on the handle or the container could come loose or brake around the edges
