The base unit is actually quite well engineered, remaining very stable throughout use. The blender is fantastically powerful and vaporizes egg shells.

Good looking piece for kitchen countertop. Nice decor.

Cons

This blender is a piece of junk. The connecting part is stripped and completely useless.

The blade broke on the first smoothie. The jar assembly doesn't use the blade assembly that is used with the 48 oz jar. This is not the kitchen aid service i remember from years past.

Luckily, their customer service was great and they quickly offered to send me a new blender.

This blender is so much better than a ninja and another one that i had.

This blender is most affordable and compared to viramix is equal in performance.

I've done a lot of research and this one is equal to the vitamix 5200 etc, maybe even better.

I'll be reaching out to kitchenaid about possibly getting this unit replaced.
