Pros & Cons
Pros
The blender is dishwasher safe. Mine is the shiny red finish. It cleans up quickly which is huge.
It does a great job of making smoothies and chopping ice. Blends extremely well. No ice or berry chunks, just a smooth refreshing drink without surprises. Not problem with blending ice and frozen fruit, even on the lowest setting.

Cons
The blade broke of my large blender canister after only 4-5 uses. I make smoothies and this blender requires constant starting and stopping to rearrange the contents. The regular blender is good, but the personal blender broke on the first smoothie.

A must have with the extra cups/blade base if you like to make smoothies.
I'm skeptical of it though as it doesn't look as tough with the parts being made of plastic.
Not deal breakers, but for the kitchenaid price, i feel all the components should be kitchenaid quality.
Packaging/appearance
Not only does it blend the shhhh out of the ingredients, it comes with a whole separate blender.
Competitiveness
I have always had good luck with kitchenaid products.
