The only negative that ive found is that after washing it the silver brand name label part of the handle where it says kitchenaid retains water

I have to make sure to press on it with a paper towel to get out the excess and lay it flat in the hopes of preventing rust

You cant hear any comforting snap to let you know its on correctly but once it is placed properly on top of the blade it doesnt fall off so i guess thats okay then
