Pros & Cons
Pros
The grinder clogs often, so i simply turn it on prior to dropping in scoops of beans. That long handle is useful to stir the beans to unclog the hopper. For drip coffee no adjustment would be needed.
It is solid, it has the weight and feel of a mini ka stand mixer. Pricey but worth every penny. And counting for me with zero evidence of wear.
Cons
Capresso infinity is out of warranty. It still works but sounds awful.
All this is overpriced hunk is good for is an anchor. Update -- thank you amazon for crediting our account and allowing the return of this product.
Kitchenaid's coffee grinder is noisy. There is a ledge inside of the hopper that holds onto a couple grams of beans. You have to push them off the ledge manually while the machine is running.
Kitchenaid coffee grinder is in the price range of one of the capresso or baratza conical burr grinders, but it isn't a conical grinder. This grinder has been a disappointment two times over.
The plastic gears are okay but the metal bushings inside two of the gears are sheared off. The gear box is not a part available to order as service is not available for the unit.

I know that i sound like i don't like this product, based on these comments, but i do feel it is a 4-star product.
It's not exceptionally quiet, but it makes up for the noise by being a champ.

You are getting so many jams because you are using oily beans

The bean oil gets caked in the burr grinders

It is a no frills manual grinder that is made to grind consistent size grounds with very little if any powder

I cannot get mine to jam and it will grind 12 pound of coffee beans without becoming much warmer than skin temperature the grounds also come out cool

Mine will grind beans to a fine powder way too fine for an espresso machine like turkish coffee or grind beans quite coarse easily coarse enough for a percolator with very consistent grind size
