Cons
Lid of the pot isn't removable so it can't be washed in the dishwasher. The carafe is too thin. The coffeemaker won't make a pot.
The thing slops water all over when simply prepping it for next use. If you bump it, it falls into the water reservoir.
Only way to deactivate the coffee pot warmer is to put a few ounces in the tank and actually brew more coffee. Takes too long to brew a cup. Hot plate only heats it to about medium, if that makes sense.

Quality
It makes really good coffee, it was easy to program, i like the removable water container.
So don’t have to fill graft and spill water into a built in tank, much cleaner process and less spills.
Our coffee maker recently died, after about 15 years of use.
The next issue was the coffee maker began popping and cracking as if there was maybe an electrical issue.
Price
To expensive not to be able to buy a replacement coffee pot.
It always pays to buy the original melitta filters not the cheap once.
Small price to pay to have my old friend back though.
I believe it will be an excellent coffee maker but for a $100 we want a brand new unused machine please.

However the coffee maker i was sent had issues.
Packaging/appearance
I cleaned the coffee maker, dried it down and packaged it back up.
First clue was opening the box and it smelled of coffee.
Competitiveness
Better than most in its price range, but a real shower heads system is better, but alas, more expensive.

After 25 years my old kitchen aid quit started leaking water and quit working but the quality of the coffee and the speed with which it brewed were unparalleled

The only thing that i find odd is that they changed the hinge on the carafe so the lid doesnt seem to come off for easy washing or to fit nicely into the dishwasher
