Pros

Simple design with matte plastic finish that does not show dust or fingerprints. The grey color is sharp, contemporary, and goes well with everything.

The carafe has a unique design. It pours with no drips whatsoever. The removable tank and coffee quality far outweigh the oversized footprint.

Cons

The water reservoir alone has numerous aggravations. Everytime you pour it drips on the counter. The carafe is too thin.

This coffee maker is ok, but i strongly dislike the fact that it only warms when brewing a pot. My bunn brews a whole pot in 3 minutes (it has an always-hot reservoir), so this long brew time is almost a dealbreaker for me.

Kitchenaid needs to reconsider the design of their coffee maker. It's a slightly unusual size, so it's virtually unusable less then a year after being purchased. The warranty is good for only 1 year. Kitchen aid needs to stick to mixers.

Just don't buy it. Order another one, toss this in that box to return. Such a bummer. Very disappointed. It's really a disappointment.

Competitively priced, easy to operate, timed operation, two hour hot plate.

The only ones i found are on ebay but the cost is close to $40.

It came in a few days and works beautifully.

I must say the seller sent a replacement coffee maker immediately.

Competitiveness

We use 1/3 less coffee then our other drip coffee maker and the coffee taste richer.

Personally not a deal breaker but it is annoying and i've noticed others had the same complaint.
