Pros & Cons
Pros
Best small puree/chopping machine. Makes smooth hummus and pesto.
There are lots of little nooks and crannies that food gets stuck in. I wash it in soapy water and let clear water run through. Comes in pretty colors.
Cons
The design is so dreadful that food gets caught under the lid and can never be cleaned. The lid never lines up well, nor does the blade.
A total disappointment and piece of *. Product has one year warranty.
I'm done with kitchenaid products. This is inconvenient. Should have bought the cuisinart.
Foods such as carrots or dried bread (making homemade bread crumbs) became wedged between the blade and inside wall of the container. After these jams it is not sometimes possible to safely remove the blade or container from the base.
The handle mechanism that is intended to engage the motor was broken. Perhaps the the motor had actually been refurbished and tested, but unit was not retested after full reassembly.
Highlights
Quality
You might be able to get it a little smoother with a good quality blender, but this does a good job.
Color really pops and product is good quality.
