Pros & Cons
Pros
The footprint is not bad but it’s a big machine and somewhat heavy. Well thought out and very handy. I hope it lasts a long time!
This kitchenaid mixer comes with a grater and shredder attachment. The blade is great for making pesto. It is quieter than my previous food processor that attached to my mixer.
I make a large pot of a stew for my two bitty dogs. I usually add chicken and some beef, fresh carrots, kale, a couple of tomatoes and long grain rice or buckwheat.
Cons
Locking mechanism is annoying,2. It has no power. The * on the front don’t stay locked on until you engage the *’s safety switch. The unit bounces violently and has to be held down (hard) while it is on.
Chopping is very uneven. The shredding disc stops working and i end up chopping my ingredient. The feed tube is very, very narrow.
Reiterating some of the other negative reviews here, this and the 13-cup version have the same issues. Am sticking with my cuisinarts. Will never purchase a kitchenaid product again.
