For me the blade itself was not snuggly placed all the way down and the exact slicer switch was not all the way to the left which is probably why the blade was not properly in place

The first thing i noticed with the 9 cup was the weight of the machine

The drawback to the light weight of the machine is that when you are processing something on high sometimes the machine starts to vibrate and walk along the counter which risks it falling off

Kitchenaid sells one for the larger size but reviews said that these blades are shaped differently so they do not fit
